The current works by Los Angeles painter Jimmy Bleyer document the search for an emotional context in which everyday occurrences find themselves intertwined with those of the dream state. The artist's mixed media works boast an array of brushwork on carefully selected surfaces, primarily reclaimed woods or canvas.

Bleyer's spiritually-charged images accentuate the beauty of the modern female. His dissolving, or abstracting of the backgrounds, allows the female subject to interact with their surroundings, often inviting them to commune with the natural wood textures of his panels. At once romantic, mysterious and illusory, his enigmatic works can be seen in collections nationwide.

The artist holds an artist's residency at The Hive Gallery in downtown Los Angeles, is co-founder of the beloved guerrilla print company Lost Cause Society, and is an ongoing supporter of the growing fine art scene in Southern California and beyond.
